A natural born artist and visionary, Armin Pohl has been exploring innovative ways to fully express his ideas for as long as he can remember.

As a child, Armin grasped any medium or technique available that might have allowed him to create the pictures that would express the ideas within him, but there were always boundaries, barriers or limits to his efforts.

During his teen years, in the early 80's, Armin saw the film "Tron" and became fascinated by the possibilities of computer animation. What was seemingly just another "flick" turned out to be his epiphany. He first set out to study and train as a graphic artist, and in 1990 he began focusing on the 3D-world. Armin first applied his training to commercial applications by designing TV-trailers and advertisements. Next, he specialized in compositing and motion graphics as a freelance artist for several client companies.

Never forgetting his primary vision, that being to explore the boundaries of the virtual world being taken for real from its viewer, Armin finally saw an opportunity to move his dream forward when he joined Mackevision in 1995.

At Mackevision Armin found a small community that was equally interested in exploring artistic innovation possibilities. Together, Armin and his colleagues expanded their technical range of tools and attracted others with the same passion. From these early efforts and innovations of a few, Mackevision has grown to be one of the leading houses for visualization and computer animation.

Since taking the reigns as CEO of Mackevision in 1999, Armin's vision has been to bring an unsurpassed and enviable level of quality to the global market with system solutions which help to generate virtual content with easy-to-use interfaces.

Having established itself in the U S. with several clients, Mackevision has taken a bold step to capture the attention of the American market, where Armin believes that the creativity, quality, content and reliability he has strived to achieve throughout his career will finally have found its most appreciative audience.
