Brad Gieske
Chrysler Corporation

Brad Gieske has been in design and design visualization for over ten years. Currently Brad is a designer in the Advanced Interiors at Chrysler.  Being passionate about art and design from a young age he decided to attend the University of Michigan in product design. After graduation, he worked as a footwear designer at Converse in Boston.  This experience made him realize how important 3D digital tools are to the entire design process, because basic 2D tools do not allow the same level of exploration.  He then accepted a position at an Alias reseller as an Industrial Designer/Application Engineer. Here he consulted for Bose, Reebok, Fila, Timberland, IDEO, Sikorsky Aircraft, New Balance, among many others and helped customize and implement Maya into the footwear design industry.  In 2003, Brad moved back to Michigan and joined the staff as an industrial designer at Holographic Imaging. He helped design and develop auto-stereoscopic displays and a holographic powerwall. One year later Brad joined DaimlerChrysler as a visualization designer. His responsibilities included future workflow development, training, and support of the Chrysler Product Design Office on digital technologies (Alias, Maya, Opticore, etc.) He has created 2D and 3D assets (sketches, math models, renderings, & animations) on the Chrysler Firepower, Jeep Hurricane, Chrysler Akino, Dodge Hornet, Dodge Challenger, and Dodge Zeo showcars.  His latest project was the Chrysler 200C EV interior.  The fully operational compound touch sensitive screen, smart phone key fob, and passenger tablet gives us a glimpse at the future of the automotive interior and changes the way we are connected to our vehicles.  “I enjoy designing our future and am motivated by others that share in this common quest. Your willingness to learn allows you to excel in your creations.” …Brad
